YOUR CHALLENGES

As Operations Manager, you will have full P&L responsibility for our new container terminal and associated customer portfolio. The terminal has been fully operational since 1 April and we are looking for a manager who wants to help build the further growth and development of this business unit.

In this role, you will translate H.Essers’ strategic vision into a concrete plan of action, in which customer focus, operational excellence, commercial growth and people management are central. By continuously optimizing processes, developing teams further and building sustainable customer relationships, you ensure maximum performance, growth and returns within your operation.

What does this mean in concrete terms?

  • You bear full responsibility for the operational and financial results (P&L) of your business unit;
  • You know how to convince us with a clear vision of an optimal organizational structure, with the aim of ensuring the continuity of your operation;
  • You analyze performance, KPIs and results and make adjustments where necessary to increase returns and customer satisfaction;
  • As an Operations Manager, you are the driving force behind optimal collaboration between the operation and other departments (such as IT, Finance and HR), so that your team has the right resources and support;
  • You guarantee a safe, efficient and profitable working method by continuously focusing on results, optimizations and improvements;
  • With a view to further growth, you maintain relationships with existing customers and identify opportunities for new business.
