As a Senior Software Engineer IBMi, you will be a key member of the team responsible for designing, developing, implementing and maintaining IBMi-based applications that form the core of our business processes. In this role, the emphasis is on technical excellence within the IBM landscape and monitoring the architectural coherence of our Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).

In concrete terms, this means:

  • Technical Development: You are primarily responsible for designing, developing, testing and implementing applications within our IBMi platform. Knowledge of Java is a plus.
  • Helicopter View & Architecture: You will monitor the entire WMS architecture within the IBM landscape. You will be able to brainstorm new solutions together with business analysts and ensure that these developments fit within the overall architecture.
  • Transition guidance: You will play a crucial role in guiding the transition to the new RockIT platform, ensuring a smooth transition and integration of existing systems.
  • Project management: You will play an active role in project management activities, including managing your individual weekly or sprint planning and progress reporting.
  • Architecture and Design: You contribute ideas about the architecture and design of our IBMi solutions to create robust, scalable and efficient applications.
  • Quality assurance: You contribute to compliance with development and quality standards and perform tests to ensure that designs are accurately implemented according to specifications.
  • Collaboration: You will work closely with team members and stakeholders, sharing knowledge and contributing to the company’s overall technical strategy.
  • Problem Solving and Support: You will provide technical support for application issues, perform analyses, and resolve technical issues with a focus on continuous improvement.
