YOUR CHALLENGES

As Senior Manager Group Controlling, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating the controlling activities within our international group. You play a crucial role in ensuring the financial health of the organization through accurate financial analysis, reporting and strategic planning. You will work closely with the finance teams at headquarters and across subsidiaries, acting as a key figure in supporting senior management in making informed decisions. You will report to the CFO and work closely with the executive committee.

What this means specifically:

  • You will lead a team of Finance Business Partners and develop their skills and careers through coaching, mentoring and training
  • In your role, you will coordinate and oversee monthly, quarterly and annual closings from a controlling perspective. You prepare consolidated financial reports for senior management and the board of directors. You analyze financial results and trends to make strategic recommendations
  • In addition, you develop and implement KPI reporting systems within the various business units and let these KPIs evolve along with the growth of the company. You monitor and analyze KPIs to evaluate and improve the performance of the business units. You provide monthly updates on KPIs
  • You also play an important role in the budgeting process and take the lead. You review and challenge Business Unit Managers’ budgets during the process. You monitor budget versus realization and advise on corrective actions
  • Furthermore, you support strategic business initiatives and investment projects through financial modeling and scenario analysis. You develop the financial drivers in the Long-Term Strategic Plan and keep it up to date. You participate in merger and acquisition activities with a focus on the integration of financial reporting and KPIs. You optimize financial processes and systems to improve efficiency and accuracy
  • Finally, together with the Finance Business Partners, you build close collaboration with the Executive Committee and Business Unit Managers to monitor financial objectives and new projects. You provide financial insights and advice to support executive committee decision making

YOUR TALENTS

  • You have a master’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration or a related field
  • At least 10 years of experience in finance, preferably starting at a Big 4 complemented by successful experience in controlling/FP&A
  • Experience in a leadership role and in an international environment is a must
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Thorough knowledge of BI and advanced skills in Excel
  • Fluent in English, knowledge of other languages is a plus
  • Team player
  • High degree of integrity and reliability
  • Proactive and results-oriented attitude
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
