Operations Support | Bergen op Zoom

For our own container terminal in Bergen op Zoom, we are looking for someone who gets energy from analyzing processes, improving customer relationships and leading projects. As Operations Support,  you will play a key role in continuously improving the operational and commercial performance of our terminal. A challenging position in which you switch between customers, operations and management on a daily basis.

YOUR CHALLENGES

As Operations Support, you are the driving force behind continuous improvement within our container terminal. You are the connecting link between customer, operation and management and know how to effortlessly maintain an overview in a dynamic environment where transport, storage and terminal activities come together.

With your analytical view, you dive into data, identify opportunities and actively contribute to making processes smarter, more efficient and future-proof. No two days are the same: one day you are analysing the KPIs and operational performance of the terminal, the next day you are leading an improvement project or sitting down with a customer to discuss optimisations and new collaboration opportunities.

We mean this concretely:

  • You analyze operational processes, performance and KPIs and translate insights into concrete improvement actions;
  • You support in leading and implementing optimization and improvement projects;
  • You work together with customers and operational teams to set up processes more efficiently and effectively;
  • You draw up reports and analyses to support decision-making;
  • You support the Operations Manager and Business Unit Manager with operational and strategic issues;
  • You will actively contribute to the further development of our container terminal in Bergen op Zoom.

YOUR TALENTS

  • You have recently completed a university master’s degree, preferably in the direction of Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Operations Management or Economics;
  • You are analytically strong and get energy from working with data and processes;
  • You have a curious and proactive attitude and dare to take initiative;
  • You have good communication skills and work easily with different stakeholders;
  • You have an affinity with logistics, supply chain and operational processes;
  • You have a good command of Dutch and English, both orally and in writing.
