For our site in Eksel, we are looking for a Key Account Manager.


As Key Account Manager you focus on the one hand on maintaining and optimizing the existing customer portfolio and on the other hand on looking for new opportunities, with the aim of generating additional sales. In doing so, you aim to increase customer satisfaction and maximize the potential of our customers.

More specifically, what do you do?

  • The most important part of your job consists of maintaining and optimizing relationships with existing customers.
  • In addition, you track down opportunities in the market and look for new customers by actively approaching interesting prospects.
  • Furthermore, you are expected to think along with the customer on a strategic level. You do this by tackling day-to-day issues, but especially from a long-term optimal cooperation vision.
  • From your strong and extensive market and product knowledge, you act as a professional and valuable discussion partner. In this way, you contribute proactively to the realization of the customer’s objectives.
  • You actively build both an internal and external network and adapt smoothly to different levels of stakeholders.
  • Through participation in trade organizations and by spreading the value proposition of the assigned segment in the market as H.Essers ambassador, you actively contribute to the expansion of brand awareness.
  • To ensure that your knowledge remains up to date, it is of course essential that you closely follow the developments within the customer’s field of activity.
  • Finally, you report to the Business Unit Manager and keep him/her informed of non-conformities, opportunities, or threats.


  • You are very strong in communication at different levels, and you can reason quickly and logically. In short: you stand firmly on your feet, and you are very strong communicatively.
  • Market knowledge within the construction sector and knowledge of or experience with logistics and transport processes will greatly help you within this position and is preferred.
  • You like to respond out-of-the-box to the needs of customers where you bet on trust and commitment.
  • Besides the strong relational bond, you stand out through your analytical insights, combined with your transport expertise.
  • You speak and read Dutch and English fluently, and you have a good knowledge of French.
