As a Carrier Manager, you are ultimately responsible for the follow-up of the portfolio of carriers within the H.Essers LLP organisation to meet the service levels agreed. What does this mean concretely?

  • As a true coordinator, you closely monitor the operational activities and processes of our carriers and you continuously strive to improve the operational processes to achieve the best possible service and customer satisfaction. In this way you try to guarantee the set KPI targets.
  • In order to achieve this, you carry out transport and cost analyses. In addition, you keep your finger on the pulse regarding the latest market trends and evolutions with a view to the further development of a long-term vision on process & carrier management.
  • You not only look for alternative solutions to realise optimisations (alternative carriers/alternative transport solutions and processes), but also supervise their implementation.
  • Throughout the process, you defend the interests of H.Essers to the carriers at all times.



To make this job a great success, you have a healthy interest in and/or knowledge of the transport world. Furthermore, you are a fluent communicator who works in a well-founded, strong analytical and conscientious way. For every problem there is a solution, and you know how to sell it in a diplomatic manner. Your persuasive skills ensure that you know how to convey this perfectly. Negotiating is a second nature to you.
