Milestone for our Purchase Department: they just processed their 100,000th Purchase Order!

A well-deserved celebratory moment took place at our Purchase department as they processed their 100,000th Purchase Order. This milestone symbolizes the team’s years of growth and excellent cooperation within our organization.

Professionalization over the years
The foundation for the current Purchase department was laid in 2010. Until then, purchases were registered without a system and concluded without a contract, but the need for more structure became urgent. From 2011 – even then under the watchful eye of Christophe Custers – a simple Stock Control System (SCS) was put in place that would lay the foundation for the further professionalization and expansion of the entire team.
In 2017, the department had grown too large for the SCS and it was decided to switch to a more advanced system: Ivalua. That platform was rolled out at the European level in our organization in 2019 and to date allows us to take automation and efficiency to the next level.

Facing the future positively
This evolution is only possible thanks to the commitment and dedication of the entire team. We are already looking forward to how the department will evolve in the coming years and are confident that the team below is ready to move towards number 200,000!
